Are probiotics and enzymes for pets natural?

digestive enzymes for pets

Pets are part of the family and enrich our lives on so many levels.  They give us so much and ask so little in return. Our promise to our pets is that we will take care of them and meet their simple needs. As care takers we need to make smart choices for our pets and their diet is a huge part of that.

Looking at where our pets came from, we know that in the wild food is going to come in the form of a bird, a rabbit, a squirrel or some other type of prey food. When they catch that food, the one thing we can be sure of is, they are not going to barbecue it, but rather they will be eating raw meat, full of enzymes and probiotics.

In a natural setting probiotics are consumed in the billions from eating the insides of the prey, and while probiotics are very beneficial and help with digestion, the overwhelming burden of digestion falls on the enzymes found in the raw meat. But those are the very enzymes that are destroyed by heating them to 118 degrees. Baking kibble or the canning process is a lot hotter than 118 degrees and that process is designed to destroy all enzymes.

So are enzymes and probiotics for pets natural? Absolutely, yes.
