Protease 3.0 Is used to break down proteins in a different PH range.
Protease 4.5 Is used to break down proteins in a different PH range then the other two.
Peptidase Help digest protein molecules. Four varieties of protease enzymes have been combined in this formula to compensate for higher protein diets of pets. Without this enzyme the pet cannot benefit from the protein that is in the food. A must needed enzyme.
Amylase An enzyme that breaks down sugars and starches. Good for those hidden sugars in pet treats. And helps digest corn, potatoes, rice ect.
Alpha-Galactosidase This enzyme breaks down carbohydrates, such as vegetables, whole grains. It can help prevent the gas and other gastrointestinal symptoms.
Beta-Glucanase This enzyme is used to breakdown carbohydrates, specifically starches.
Diastase Sometimes called maltase, is an enzyme that is the catalyst in the hydrolysis of disaccharide maltose to the simple sugar form - glucose.
Lipase Will digest only lipids or fats as they are commonly called. Lipase will not do anything to digest protein or carbohydrates.
Cellulase Works on Cellulose, an indigestible fiber found in many fruits and vegetables.
Pectinase Breaks down fruit and vegetable pectins and aids in detoxifying and lifting heavy metals in pets. A much needed enzyme for your pet. Your pet gets heavy metal build up just like we do, this enzyme helps rid your pet of these toxic metals.
Phytase Breaks down carbohydrates, specifically phytates in plants. It can increase mineral absorption and the bio-availability of iron, zinc, calcium, and magnesium. A needed enzyme to help digest pet food with potatoes or carrots ect. Some companies say you do not need this very important enzyme it was put into the formula because pet foods do have carbohydrates and this enzyme helps properly digest them.
Hemicellulase Is used to breakdown carbohydrates, especially polysaccharides such as hemicelluloses, which are found in plant foods.
Bromelain Is most notable for its effectiveness in normalizing inflammation and decreasing swelling. As a natural systemic enzyme with many uses.

Now with 14 probiotics and higher CFU's.

Lactobacillus Acidophilus DDS-1 This DDS-1 strain of Lactobacillus acidophilus is a unique, highly-stable probiotic microorganism, which, when produced according to Dr. Shahani’s proprietary methods, has been shown through research to be one of the strongest and most beneficial probiotics.
Bifidobacterium bifidum Is a normal inhabitant of the intestines. Found in large numbers, the numbers of bifidobacteria decrease with age. B. bifidum helps detoxify the intestines and promote regular bowel movements.
Bacillus coagulans Bacillus coagulans has been added by the EFSA to their Qualified Presumption of Safety (QPS) list] and has been approved for veterinary purposes by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Center for Veterinary Medicine, as well as by the European Union and is listed by AAFCO for use as a direct fed microbial in livestock production. It is often used in veterinary applications, especially as a probiotic in pigs, cattle, poultry, dog and cats.
Bifidobacterium breve Different species and/or strains of bifidobacteria may exert a range of beneficial health effects, including the regulation of intestinal microbial homeostasis, the inhibition of pathogens and harmful bacteria that can colonize and infect the gut mucosa Bifidobacterium breve is helping to modulate the local and systemic immune responses.
B. lactis (B. animalis ) B. lactis is a Gram-positive anaerobic rod-shaped bacterium, which can be found in the large intestines of most mammals, including humans. Bifidobacterium animalis and Bifidobacterium lactis were previously described as two distinct species. Presently, both are considered B. animalis with the subspecies Bifidobacterium animalis subspecies animalis and Bifidobacterium animalis subspecies lactis. Both names B. animalis and B. lactis are still used on product labels, as this species is frequently used as a probiotic in pet products.
B. longum Aids in the cleansing and health of the colon and liver.
L. brevis Lactobacillus brevis is a species of lactic acid bacteria, all of which are Gram-positive, non spore forming organisms whose main metabolic pathway involves fermenting hexose sugars to produce lactic acid. L. brevis can be isolated from the food sources in inhabits, one example being kimchi. This bacteria is probiotic, and improves the immune system.
L. casei Is reported to be one of the most potent defenders from Listeria bacteria. It is also known for its ability to induce an immune response that is helpful in supporting a healthy urinary tract
L. plantarum Can be found in naturally fermented foods. It is found in the large intestine where it helps to break down protein into usable nutrients, thus normalizing inflammation.
L. rhamnosus Is one of the more highly studied probiotic strains, primarily used in support of normal gastrointestinal health. It also aids the body in balancing the normal flora ecology and supports a healthy urinary tract.
Lactococcus lactis Has been shown through research to produce a high amount of lactic acid, which is able to inhibit the growth of H. pylori, thusly reducing the associated inflammation and risk of peptic ulcers. Is also beneficial to supplement the diet in maintaining normal intestinal flora.
L. salivarius Has been shown through research to produce a high amount of lactic acid, which can inhibit the growth of H. pylori bacteria.
Streptococcus thermophilus Is known for repairing free radical damage from aging, stress, antibiotics, chlorinated water and other chemicals. It also contains an antioxidant that helps normalize inflammation and protect against the toxins.

NEW! The only patented stabilized glutamine in the world- MGG chelate- This stabilized Glutamine re-writes the book on utilizing anabolic nitrogen molecules to help cleanse and fortify the body. Glutamine yields beneficial effects on the intestinal mucosa and is also the major metabolic fuel for the small intestine. The addition of the chelated glutamine to Total-Biotics™ greatly improves the stability and colonization characteristics of beneficial bacteria in the pet's intestinal tract and is an essential nutrient that is required by the intestinal cells. It can actually help repair a damaged intestinal tract.

Pre-biotics- Inulin IQ FOS (Fructooligosaccharides)- one of the best-known pre-biotics, is a class of simple carbohydrates found naturally in certain plants, such as Jerusalem artichokes, onions, and bananas. FOS is known to promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract. It has been shown to stimulate growth of bifidobacteria in the colon where many diseases first take root. Supplementing with FOS can greatly increase metabolic activity in the colon and help relieve constipation and reduce the production of intestinal putrefactive substances. Healthy colon function is vital to a properly functioning immune system
