How to de-skunk your dog
Skunks. Got to love them! Just the other day a skunk was in my yard and thank goodness my little dog, Paddy, did not see it! If your dog ever comes face-to-face with a smelly skunk and ends up being sprayed, what should you do?
This is what I have done and it works beautifully:
De-skunk solution
1 Quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide
¼ cup baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
1 teaspoon liquid dish soap
Instructions
Mix all ingredients together in a large bucket. Dilute the solution with an equal amount of water. Rub the mixture into your dog’s coat, and rinse many times with ample fresh water.
